Every industry has its peak bodies. Organisations that offer support, protection, advice, and accreditation to businesses. Plumbing and gas are no different. At All Kind Gas & Plumbing Brisbane, we actively connect with these bodies because we value the backing, guidance and credibility they provide.
We believe in collaboration across the trade, which is why we also created the Plumbers Brisbane Facebook group. It’s a space for plumbers across Australia to connect, share advice and support one another in a rapidly changing industry.
Before we dive into the organisations we’re proud to be part of, let’s look at why being involved in these groups really matters.
Benefits of joining industry bodies:
Many businesses ask what the benefit of joining an industry bodies is especially if they are required to pay a membership or fee to join. However, asking this question is very important and shows that a business is serious about how it can grow and develop. There is no point joining thousands of industry bodies if they are not the right ones for you and do not provide you with some benefit. An industry body should provide the following benefit/s:
- An opportunity to network and unite with other like-minded professionals
- An opportunity to have a voice within your field
- Opportunities for professional development and the learning of new skills
- Opportunities to find out about industry trends and how these might impact you
- Opportunities for advice and support from experienced people within the field
- Opportunities to promote your business
- Recognition that you are a qualified and trusted business
- Reassurance for customers and contractors
